Yes. We have a secure garage which we will happily store bikes and motorbikes in. Simply ask at reception to gain access.

How far are you from Ambleside?
15 minutes stroll or 2 minutes by car away (approx 1 mile)
When can we check in?
From 3:00 pm till 10:00 pm. If arriving early you can leave your luggage and park your car with us. If you plan to arrive later than 10:00 pm please let us know so we can make arrangements.
When do we have to check out?
Check out is between 09.30 am and 10.30 am at the latest.
Is Housekeeping available?
Housekeeping is available by request – just leave the ‘please make up our room’ sign on the outside of your door before 11am and we’ll happily do this for you.
What time is Breakfast?
Breakfast is served between 8:30 am till 9.30 am. We offer a variety of fresh locally sourced buffet & cooked options including our full Cumbrian as well as Salmon, Kippers and Vegetarian choices. Please note we do not serve breakfasts before 8:30 am.
Do you serve evening meals?
We do not serve evening meals. Ambleside has many good restaurants within easy reach and we will happily recommend and/or reserve any if asked.
Do you have a Alcohol License?
Due to lack of demand we no longer serve drinks. We’re happy for you to bring your own – all our bedrooms have mini-fridges and we will happily provide extra glasses / ice if asked.
Do you have parking?
Yes. We are located off the road and have ample parking. Just drive through our main gate, please remember to close the gate behind you to stop any loose farm animals entering the garden.
Are there any walks we can do from the hotel?
Yes. We have walking guides in the bedroom folders detailing walks from the hotel front door. There are other numerous walks available from books in our lounge or from local book and climbing shops.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry but we do not accept dogs / pets at this time within the house. We’re happy for you to bring your dog if it can be left in your car at night.
Do you accept Children?
Due to the nature of the house and gardens we do not accept babies or children under the age of 12.
Do you have Internet access?
Yes. We have free WiFi access throughout the house.
